Neurodivergent group

The BIG Neurodivergent Group is non-clinical group, providing a safe space to share neurodivergent experiences, seek support, and learn more about neurodiversity.
Formal diagnosis is not required, you are welcome to attend if you believe this group is applicable to you or your experiences.

What is neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity refers to variations in brain functions, processing, and different thinking styles
relative to society “norms”. It’s important to remember everyone’s brain is different and
neurodiversity acknowledges these differences.

Examples of neurodiversity are:
–    Attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD)
–    Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC/ASD)
–    Dyspraxia
–    Dyscalculia
–    Tourette’s Syndrome

Please note this group does not run on Bank holidays and will be paused for over the Christmas and New Year period.

Where to find us

The Neurodivergent Group meets 2:00pm to 3:00pm, every Thursday, at 11 Broad Street, Bury, BL9 0DA.

BIG in Mental Health

Testimonials

“Before coming to BIG I felt isolated and couldn’t talk to people about mental illness as I was afraid of stigmatisation & rejection. Now I can talk openly to people at BIG and outside in general. If I am feeling low I know I will feel better if I attend BIG.”
