Hearing Voices group

The experience of hearing voices is not itself a mental health condition, many people hear positive voices. It is the content and perspectives of the voices which can affect mental health.
The BIG Hearing Voices Group is for anyone who has current or has previously experienced hearing voices. This is a nonclinical group, using peer support to share experiences. Members of the group value it as a safe space to talk about experiences without judgement, and learn methods to cope with problematic experience.

Please note the group does not run on Bank Holiday and will be paused for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.

Where to find us

The Hearing Voices Group meets 12:30pm to 1:30pm, every Thursday, at 11 Broad Street, Bury, BL9 0DA.

BIG in Mental Health

Testimonials

“Before coming to BIG I felt isolated and couldn’t talk to people about mental illness as I was afraid of stigmatisation & rejection. Now I can talk openly to people at BIG and outside in general. If I am feeling low I know I will feel better if I attend BIG.”
